Conference SAH 2025 Atlanta

Members of our chair will be presenting their research at the upcoming annual conference held by the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH), which will take place between 30 April-4 May 2025 in Atlanta.
Diversifying the Architectural Canon with “Crossed Histories”– Call for Papers
Dr. Cathelijne Nuijsink and Prof. Dr. Tom Avermaete are organizing an international workshop to take stock of what "crossed histories" have brought to the field of architecture so far, and how the challenges of this method can be overcome. Deadline for full papers (2500-3000 words) is May 15, 2025

We are happy to announce the arrival of our new colleague María Novas Ferradás, who will be working as a Senior Lecturer and Scientific Researcher at the Chair of History and Theory of Urban Design at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

Since 2023, our Research Studio delves into the topic of Swiss Coloniality, focusing on the entanglements of the architectural and urban histories of Switzerland and the history of global colonialism. We will offer a new edition of the course next semester, Spring 2025.
